Will it get here before Christmas?
Order before the cut-off date shown at the top of the product page and yes. Every order gets a tracking link by email the day it ships, so you are never left guessing where it is.
Is it hard to set up?
About three minutes. Plug the orb into a computer with the cable in the box and it appears like a USB stick. Your video does need to be square, 480 by 480 pixels, and the card in the box shows you how to do that in any free video app. That is the only fiddly part and we would rather tell you now.
How long does the battery last?
Three to four hours of playback on a charge, over USB-C. Most people leave it plugged in on Christmas Day so it runs all evening, then unplug it for photos.
Can I change the video later?
As many times as you like. Plug it in, delete the old file, drag a new one over. Plenty of people swap it every year, which is half the point of it.
Does it have sound?
Yes. There is a small speaker in the white half, so you hear the clip as well as watch it.
What if it turns up damaged?
If it arrives faulty, send us a photo and we replace it, no argument. Returns stay open for 30 days from the day it lands.
If the parcel is lost or damaged in the post, it is replaced when you added shipping protection in the cart. Orders to the UK and Denmark are always covered, so protection is not offered there.
Can you post it straight to my mum?
Put her address in at checkout and it goes direct. Reply to your order confirmation email and we leave the price off the paperwork.

This is the one object we found that brings a piece of it back into the room, lit up, on the tree, where everyone can see it.
